 October: Dyeing for Fabric

We’ll explore marbleizing fabric with Kathy Charnell, an accomplished quilter and member of the Amelia Island Quilt Guild. In addition to being a skilled quilter, she enjoys exploring other techniques, including fabric dyeing.

In this hands-on tutorial, Kathy will teach us to start with a basic fat-quarter and create a new look working with shaving cream and non-toxic liquid dyes. The process is a little messy, so you may want to bring an apron.

Cost to participate is $4 (paid to instructor) who will provide all needed tools and supplies except the fabric. Participant will need to bring 2 – 4 tone-on-tone or white fat-quarters.

November: TBA

December: Challenge TBA and Holiday Handmade Gift Exchange

Programs and dates/times may change.
